SOD-323 Component Package
SOD-323 (Small-outline Diode 323) is a family of 2-lead SMD component packages, commonly used for diodes.
The are four variants, with the key differences being:
- SOD-323: Bent leads.
 - SOD-323F: Flat leads (better heatsinking).
 - SOD-323FL: Flat leads, with one longer than the other (even better heatsinking).
 - SOD-323HE: ?
 
Solderability: Reflow is recommended. Easy to solder by hand.

SOD-323 is a 2 lead, SMD component package commonly used for diodes. Without any other suffixes, SOD-323 typically refers to bent lead variant, also known as SC-76 (JEITA).1

SOD-323F (Flat Lead Variant)
The SOD-323F is a variant which has flat leads instead of the bent leads in the standard SOD-323. It has the same body dimensions as the standard SOD-323.
Synonyms
WARNING: Rohm uses the name SOD-323FL to refer to the same package as many other manufacturers call SOD-323F4. Central Semiconductor also uses the package name SOD-323FL, but this refers to a different variant with different sized leads (see below).
SOD-323FL (Central Semiconductor Variant)
Central Semiconductors version of the SOD-323FL (the FL is presumably an acronym for Flat Leads) is another variant of the SOD-323 with flat leads, except one of the leads is much longer than the other7. This improves the heatsinking of the package even more than that of the SOD-323F variant.
SOD-323HE
I’m not sure what the distinguishing features of the SOD-323HE package are. It appears to be a SOD-323 with a flat lead style.
